Francesco Solimena (1657-1747) was an Italian Baroque painter known for his exquisite oil paintings on canvas. One of his notable works is "St Peter, " a captivating piece measuring 79x65 cm. In this painting, Solimena skillfully captures the essence of St Peter, showcasing his devotion and spiritual strength. In another masterpiece, a self-portrait created in 1715, Solimena reveals himself with great detail and precision. The oil on canvas artwork measures 128x112 cm and showcases the artist's talent in capturing human emotions through brushstrokes.
