Spa-Francorchamps: A Legendary Circuit of Thrills and Triumphs The iconic Spa-Francorchamps circuit has witnessed countless moments of exhilaration, bravery, and triumph throughout its rich history in motorsport. From Formula One World Championships to FIA World Endurance Championships, this Belgian gem has been a playground for the world's greatest drivers. In 1986, during the Belgian Grand Prix, Ayrton Senna showcased his exceptional skills behind the wheel of Lotus 98T. Jim Clark also etched himself into Spa's folklore when he piloted his Lotus 25 to a remarkable start during a Formula One race day. Starting from eighth position, Clark defied all odds by soaring past competitors to claim first place – a feat that still echoes through time. Not limited to Formula One races alone, Spa-Francorchamps has hosted other prestigious events like the FIA World Endurance Championship. Stefan Bellof and Thierry Boutsen showcased their prowess behind the wheel of Brun Motorsport Porsche 956 as they conquered every twist and turn of this demanding track. Lewis Hamilton is another driver who experienced glory at Spa while driving for McLaren Mercedes MP4/23 in the Formula One World Championship. His skillful maneuvers around each corner earned him well-deserved accolades among racing enthusiasts worldwide. Throughout its storied past since opening in 1921, Spa-Francorchamps has seen its fair share of unforgettable moments.
