St. Margaret of Antioch, also known as Marina, was a legendary Christian martyr who lived in the 3rd century. According to tradition, she was born in Antioch and raised as a pagan before converting to Christianity. Margaret refused to renounce her faith despite facing persecution and torture. One of the most famous stories associated with St. Margaret is that she was swallowed by a dragon but emerged unharmed after making the sign of the cross. This miraculous event led to her being revered as a patron saint of pregnant women and childbirth.
