"Classic Beauties: The Standard Ten Takes Center Stage at Car Owners Club Events" Step back in time to the year 1938, where the iconic Standard Flying Ten and Standard Ten stole the show at the prestigious Standard Car Owners Club Gymkhana on May 8th. These stunning vehicles, with their sleek designs and powerful engines, left spectators in awe as they showcased their speed and agility. Renowned artist Bill Brunell captured the essence of these remarkable cars in his masterpieces. His paintings depicted a 1934 Standard Avon Ten coupe gracefully maneuvering through challenging terrains during a thrilling club trial. The attention to detail in each brushstroke brought these vintage automobiles to life, showcasing their timeless elegance. The Southern Counties Trial held by the Standard Car Owners Club in 1938 was another event where enthusiasts gathered to witness automotive excellence. Amongst the participants were both a Standard Twelve and a standard Ten saloon, showcasing their durability and performance on rugged roads. Fast forward to Chestnut Grove in Conisborough, South Yorkshire in 1964 - an idyllic setting that witnessed yet another masterpiece from artist Michael Walters.
