The Connell Collection of Old Furniture showcases a stunning array of tallboys, also known as highboys, that span several decades and feature the craftsmanship of various talented creators. One such piece is the Highboy from 1938, designed by Charles Squires. Its elegant lines and intricate detailing make it a true masterpiece. Another notable creation by Squires is the Highboy from 1936, which exudes timeless charm with its classic design. M. Rosenshield-von-Paulin's contribution to the collection includes a Highboy from 1940 that displays exquisite artistry in every curve and carving. Similarly, Lorenz Rothkrantz's Highboy from 1939 stands out for its unique blend of sophistication and simplicity. Martin Partyka's Highboy from 1937 catches the eye with its bold presence and impeccable craftsmanship. Lawrence Phillips' creation from 1939 showcases his attention to detail through delicate embellishments. While most pieces in the collection are highboys, there are also other remarkable additions like an intricately crafted Chest of Drawers dating back to 1878/84 by an unknown creator. Additionally, a striking High Chest of Drawers created between 1760-75 adds historical significance to this diverse assortment. Each tallboy in the Connell Collection tells a story through its design elements and reflects the skillful hands behind their creation.
