The Temple of Bacchus, located in Baalbeck (Heliopolis), is a magnificent ancient structure that has captivated visitors for centuries. This temple, also known as the Colonnade Du Temple Du Soleil, stands as a testament to the grandeur and architectural prowess of its time. Dating back to 1849-1851, this temple was captured in stunning detail by photographers during that era. One such image can be found in plate 79 from Volume II of The Holy Land. Another depiction shows the ruins of Baalbek on May 5th, 1839, showcasing the temple's majestic presence.
