"Unforgettable Moments at Thruxton: A Glimpse into Racing History" Step back in time to the thrilling Formula 3 race at Thruxton on March 3rd, 1983. The pits were buzzing with excitement as the renowned Ralt RT3, driven by none other than the legendary Ayrton Senna, prepared for battle. With his undeniable talent and determination, Senna was ready to conquer the track. Amongst the crowd of racing enthusiasts stood John Spiers with his Ford Lotus Cortina CM6 8365, a true symbol of power and elegance. As he revved up his engine, anticipation filled the air. But it wasn't just about speed; variety added spice to this event. John Spiers also showcased his TVR Griffith CM6 8038 - a sleek machine that turned heads wherever it went. As we shifted our gaze towards the grid, there he was – Ayrton Senna himself in his West Surrey Racing Ralt RT3/83 Toyota. This young Brazilian prodigy had already proven himself as a force to be reckoned with and now aimed for yet another victory. The atmosphere intensified as Nigel Cox arrived in style with his Ford Lotus Cortina CM6 8312 - a classic beauty that exuded charm and grace. Meanwhile, Freddie Brown's Hillman Imp FMC 983 B (CM5 9510) brought an unexpected twist to the competition. Its compact size defied expectations but didn't compromise on performance or spirit. Mark Halstead and Stuart McPherson took us by surprise with their Lotus Elan S1 CM6 8009 – an agile beast that effortlessly maneuvered through every turn of this demanding circuit. Paul Hopkinson's Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT OGC 559 D (CM1 9452) added Italian flair to this British spectacle while Roger Cope's Jaguar Mk1 Saloon CM1 9435 showcased the epitome of British luxury.
