Thutmose III, also known as Menkheperre, was a powerful pharaoh of Egypt during the New Kingdom period. He ruled during Dynasties 18-20 and left behind numerous artifacts that provide insight into his reign. One such artifact is a Scaraboid depicting a Grasshopper, symbolizing fertility and rebirth. This reflects Thutmose III's desire to ensure prosperity for his kingdom. Another significant piece is a Plaque featuring Thutmose III depicted as the Sphinx with Crown and Beard. This showcases his association with divine power and authority. A Scarab shows Thutmose III's name within a Cartouche, emphasizing his royal lineage. The standing king depicted on it represents his strong leadership during Dynasty 18. Yet another Scarab bears the name Menkheperra (Thutmose III) along with details about his reign. It highlights his accomplishments and achievements as pharaoh. A Plaque describes him as Menkheperkare, Chosen of Re, further solidifying his divine connection to the sun god Ra. This title emphasizes Thutmose III's religious significance in ancient Egypt. The Shabti figurine of Nebseni found in Thutmose III's tomb suggests that he had great respect for those who served him even in death. It reflects the pharaoh's belief in an afterlife where he would be accompanied by loyal subjects. The Temple d'Amada in Nubia provides evidence of Thutmose III's expansionist policies beyond Egypt's borders. His military campaigns helped extend Egyptian influence into neighboring regions. At Palais de Karnak, we can find the private apartments which reveal insights into his personal life and daily activities within the palace complex. A relief carving depicts Thutmose III alongside gods Heka and Khnum on the facade of Hypostyle Hall at an Egyptian temple.
