Exploring the vibrant streets of Tiflis, a city steeped in history and culture. This captivating view by artist Chernetsov takes us back to the end of the 1830s, offering a glimpse into the enchanting atmosphere of old Tbilisi. As we wander through its bustling streets, we encounter a diverse array of scenes - from charming street scenes filled with lively locals to breathtaking views overlooking this picturesque Georgian capital. Indulging our taste buds, we savor Churchkhela, a traditional sweet candy made from grape must, nuts, and flour. Its unique flavors perfectly embody the rich culinary heritage of Georgia. Alongside these delectable treats are glimpses of daily life - donkeys carrying their loads through narrow alleys while Armenian merchants engage in trade. Romance fills the air as we witness a young couple on horseback - an image that captures both tradition and love blooming against Tbilisi's timeless backdrop. Crossing Pont du Maidan (Maidan Bridge), we marvel at its architectural beauty connecting different parts of this magnificent city. Immersing ourselves further into Tbilisi's tapestry, we encounter artisans practicing their crafts – tanners skillfully working with leather and fur hatters creating exquisite headwear. The Mercer selling grapes reminds us of Georgia's fertile lands and its deep-rooted connection to viticulture. Nature beckons us as well within Tbilisi's boundaries – exploring the serene Botanical Gardens where lush greenery provides solace amidst urban life. And not far away lies The Palace on Duorzouaia Street alongside the Armenian Church – testaments to Tbilisi's architectural grandeur. As Rue du Palais unfolds before our eyes, it becomes evident that every corner holds stories waiting to be discovered in this remarkable city known as Tiflis or modern-day Tbilisi.
