Known for his exceptional skills and unwavering determination, Loughridge's name is synonymous with speed and success. In 1974, riding for Crooks Suzuki, Loughridge participated in the Production TT race. His trusty companion was a long-lived Suzuki T500 that carried him to new heights of achievement. The race showcased his talent and set the stage for many more victories to come. The following year, Loughridge joined Maxton Yamaha for the Junior TT event. Displaying unmatched skill and precision, he proved himself as one of the top contenders in this prestigious competition. This marked another milestone in his illustrious career. Throughout his journey, Yamaha remained a constant presence by his side. In 1979 at the Junior TT race, Loughridge once again demonstrated why he was considered a force to be reckoned with. Pushing boundaries and defying limits became second nature to him. Loughridge's triumphs were not limited to just one type of race or location; he excelled across various terrains and circuits. In 1980 at Southern 100 while representing Yamaha, he showcased his prowess yet again by clinching victory against fierce competitors. Maxton also played an integral role in shaping Loughridge's legacy as evidenced by their partnership during the 1981 Southern 100 event. Together they formed an unstoppable duo that dominated every turn and straightaway they encountered. Looking back further into history reveals even more remarkable achievements from this racing legend. In 1971 at Senior TT while riding for Crooks Suzuki, Tom displayed unparalleled courage amidst challenging conditions – leaving spectators awestruck by his tenacity. His association with Yamaha continued throughout multiple seasons including notable races like F750 TT in 1974 and Junior TT in 1978.
