Tony Godfrey, a legendary motorcycle racer, left an indelible mark on the world of racing. In 1963, he showcased his skills in the Governors Bridge Lightweight TT race. The crowd held their breath as Tony maneuvered through the twists and turns with unparalleled precision. In 1971, Tony Godfrey, also known as Tickle Manx, participated in the Senior TT race. Riding his powerful Velocette bike, he displayed sheer determination and unmatched speed that left spectators awe-struck. The year 1956 witnessed Tony's triumph in the Junior Manx Grand Prix aboard his trusty Norton bike. His exceptional talent shone brightly as he crossed the finish line victoriously. Continuing to dominate the racing scene, Tony conquered yet another challenge at the 1968 Senior TT on his Norton machine. With nerves of steel and unwavering focus, he proved himself to be a force to be reckoned with. Tony's prowess extended beyond traditional races; in 1967's Lightweight TT event, he fearlessly rode his Higley Starmaker bike to victory amidst fierce competition. A testament to his versatility came during the 1969 Senior TT when Tony showcased his skills on a Coleshill Seeley motorcycle. His ability to adapt seamlessly demonstrated why he was considered one of the greatest racers of all time. The lightweight category saw Tony excel once again in 1968 on a Kawasaki bike during an exhilarating race that had fans cheering him on every step of the way. In 1972's Junior TT event, riding a Goddard Bultaco machine became synonymous with excellence for Tony Godfrey. He pushed boundaries and set new standards for future generations of racers. Another memorable performance took place during the thrilling Junior TT race in 1971 when Tony skillfully handled an Aermacchi Metisse motorcycle while leaving competitors trailing behind him. Not limited by any means, Tony also showcased his talent in the Production TT race of 1968.
