"Train Stars: A Journey Through Time and Imagination" Step into the fascinating world of model railways, where miniature locomotives traverse intricate landscapes. Dating back to as early as 1870, these train sets have captured the hearts of enthusiasts young and old. One such iconic creation is the Toy Train from 1935/1942, crafted by the talented Francis Law Durand. Its timeless design continues to captivate generations even today. It's a reminder that imagination knows no bounds - "To Infinity And Beyond. " "The train, " a symbol of progress and adventure, has always held a special place in our hearts. Whether it's night work or daydreaming about far-off destinations, these miniature marvels transport us to another world. In 1925 at the British Empire Exhibition in Wembley, London, King George V and Queen Mary marveled at an exquisite Model Railway layout. The attention to detail was awe-inspiring; it truly showcased the craftsmanship behind this beloved hobby. Even children couldn't resist its allure. In a heartwarming scene from c1930, we see "The Young Engineer" engrossed in his train set alongside Elizabeth Milland. Fast forward to 1960 in Wickersley, South Yorkshire - artist Michael Walters creates a stunning Model Railway layout that transports us back in time.
