Travellers have always held a certain allure, their nomadic spirits capturing the imagination of those who long for adventure and freedom. From catching the 5:15 at Liverpool Street to Ulverston Sands in 1835, as depicted by David Cox the elder, these wanderers have traversed landscapes far and wide. Gypsies and their caravans evoke images of a bygone era, with an Irish Cob horse proudly pulling their colourful abode towards Appleby Horse Fair. And let's not forget intrepid women like Olive MacLeod who ventured into Africa alone in 1911 as "The Lady Traveller, " defying societal norms while exploring the vastness of the continent.
