The Valkyrie II yacht, also known as Gloriana, made waves in the sailing world during the Goelet Cup Race of 1891. This magnificent vessel competed against other prestigious yachts in various regattas and America's Cup races. Under the skilled guidance of Captain Henry G. Peabody, a renowned sailor from 1855 to 1951, the Valkyrie II showcased its prowess on multiple occasions. One such event was the American Cup Race where it faced off against formidable opponents like Vigilant.
