The West India Regiment, a historic military unit with a rich and diverse history, played a significant role in various expeditions and operations throughout the 19th century. One such expedition was the Ashanti Expedition, where the regiment disembarked at Cape Coast. This lithograph captures the moment of their arrival, showcasing their strength and determination.
