"Whitsun Trophy: A Spectacular Showcase of Speed and Power at Goodwood Revival 2013" The Whitsun Trophy race at the renowned Goodwood Revival in 2013 was a thrilling display of vintage racing cars, with iconic vehicles like the GT40 taking center stage. Among the contenders were notable drivers such as Jack Tetley in his impressive Lola Chevrolet T70 Spyder (CM25 7657) and Mike Whitaker in another powerful Lola-Chevrolet T70 Spyder (CM29 4474). As anticipation built up, all eyes were on pole position where Mike Whitaker sat confidently behind the wheel of his Lola Chevrolet T70 Spyder (CM25 7546). The view from this coveted spot promised an exhilarating start to the race. But it wasn't just about speedsters like the GT40 or Lolas; other remarkable participants included Roland Lewis with his Hamill-Chevrolet SR3 (CM10 6412 & CM10 4794), Ian Simmonds driving a fierce Lola Chevrolet T70 Spyder (CM29 4442), and even Claude Nahum and Bernard Thuner showcasing their Ford GT MkII. Andrew Smith and James Cottingham also made waves with their formidable Ford GT40, leaving spectators breathless as they pushed their limits on the track. Meanwhile, Matthew Wurr maneuvered skillfully in his Crossle-Oldsmobile Mk5S (CJ13 3354), while Marshall Bailey showcased his expertise behind the wheel of a Lola-Chevrolet T70 Spyder (CJ13 3349). William Nuthall added to the excitement by piloting a Bizzarini-Chevrolet P538 (CJ13 3348).
