The chairman is John Elliott, on his right is Joseph Sabine, Hon Secretary of the Society and on his left is John Turner, Assistant Secretary who embezzled money from the society and fled to France in 1826. A man in blue treads on the bandaged foot of another man, making him shout in pain. At bottom left is a man with a pair of antlers. The exhibits are imaginary objects which serve to comment on the mores of the time
