Headland Hotel and Golf Links, Newquay, c1910. The Headland Hotel, Newquay, Cornwall, opened in June 1900. The Headland Hotel was designed by the Cornish architect Silvanus Trevail (1851-1903). In 1911, Edward, Prince of Wales, and his brother Prince Albert recuperated at the hotel after catching measles and mumps while studying at Royal Naval College, Dartmouth.
