F W Woolworth first opened a store at the site in 1916. The premises were expanded and reconstructed in 1936 and reopened in 1938. It was store no. 66 and, at the time, was the largest Woolworths store in the world. The shop closed as a Woolworths in the 1980s and was later occupied by Price Busters, Sports Direct, and Wetherspoons

This print showcases the iconic Woolworths store on Bank Hey Street in Blackpool, Lancashire. Originally established by F W Woolworth in 1916, this particular store underwent significant expansion and reconstruction in 1936 before reopening its doors to the public in 1938.
