The Woolworths store on Western Road, numbered store 73, opened in 1916. It was modernised and was reduced in size in 1964, and was later partially occupied by Clinton Cards. The shop closed in 2008 and a branch of H&M opened at the premises in 2009

Dating back to 1916, this Woolworths store was an integral part of the community for over nine decades. In 1964, it underwent a modernization process and saw a reduction in size. However, it continued to serve as a beloved shopping destination until its closure in 2008. Today's generation may remember Clinton Cards occupying part of the premises after Woolworths' closure. Nowadays, H&M has taken over this cherished space since opening their doors here in 2009.
