The Martin gas pipeline was installed in 1981 by Laing Industrial Engineering and Construction Ltd for British Gas. Running 84km from Hatton in Lincolnshire to Peterborough, it crossed 50 roads, eight rivers and four railways. The site headquarters was at Martin in Lincolnshire.
