Over 2500 people attended the Family Day and raised over £ 700 for that years designated charity The British Heart Foundation. Attractions included; guest appearances by the cast of the television programme Grange Hill, a bouncy castle, donkey rides, Punch and Judy shows, Pierre the Clown, childrens races, blindfold stunt driving and golf and six-a-side football tournaments

This print captures the essence of a joyous moment at the 1986 Family Day held at Laing Sports Ground in Elstree, Barnet, Greater London. The Swing boats, with children aboard, sway gently in the air as their smiles radiate pure happiness. The event was a resounding success, attracting more than 2500 people and raising an impressive £700 for that year's designated charity - The British Heart Foundation. It was a day filled with laughter and excitement for all attendees. The festivities were abundant with various attractions to entertain both young and old alike. Notable highlights included special appearances by the beloved cast of Grange Hill, known for their roles on the popular television programme. A bouncy castle provided endless bouncing fun while donkey rides added an extra touch of delight.
