His exceptional vocal abilities soon caught the attention of renowned opera houses throughout Europe, and he quickly rose to prominence as one of the most sought-after tenors of his time. Throughout his illustrious career, Zerola graced the stages of the world's most prestigious opera houses, including La Scala in Milan, the Metropolitan Opera in New York, and the Royal Opera House in London. He was known for his powerful and emotive voice, as well as his ability to convey the deepest emotions through his performances. Despite his international success, Zerola remained deeply connected to his Italian roots, and continued to perform regularly in his native country. He passed away in Naples in 1936, leaving behind a legacy as one of the greatest tenors of the early 20th century.
