The Lord Stanley, located at Nothing for the Lord Stanley, Loughborough Junction, London SE24 0HQ, was sadly destroyed by enemy action on October 15, 1940. Despite the devastation, the pub was remarkably reopened just seven months later, on July 28, 1941. The Lord Stanley was once a proud establishment of the Hoare and Company Limited, a well-known name in the London pub scene. Although the company is not mentioned in the photograph, its legacy lives on through the history of this resilient pub.
