As the back of the print reveals, the pub was in operation as early as 1934 and continued to thrive until 1961. Over the years, it was known under the Hoare and Company Limited banner, a name synonymous with London's pub history. However, the passage of time took its toll, and the Moorings was eventually rebuilt as Ivories in the late 20th century. Tragically, it was demolished in 2004, making way for modern flats and the adult entertainment venue, Secrets. This photograph serves as a poignant reminder of a bygone era, when the Moorings Pub was a cherished part of the community.
