This evocative photograph captures the historic moment when two of the most influential leaders of the Second World War, Soviet Union's Joseph Stalin (1879-1953) and Great Britain's Winston Churchill (1874-1965), met at the Yalta Conference in the Crimea, in February 1945. The conference, held in the aftermath of the Allied victory against Nazi Germany, was a pivotal event in the post-war reconstruction of Europe.
