The U-boat commander, his face etched with concern, scans the horizon as the glare of the exploding star shell illuminates the surrounding water. In the distance, the silhouette of a Corvette, a small and agile anti-submarine warfare vessel, is visible, its guns blazing. The Corvette, a formidable adversary, had detected the U-boat's presence and was closing in for the attack. The U-boat crew frantically dived their vessel below the waves, narrowly escaping the hail of bullets.
