Among the impressive lineup, jet number one, 68-8138 (MSN T.6188), takes center stage. Known as Thunderbird 1, this Talon jet played a pivotal role in the team's aerial displays, showcasing the USAF's precision and skill. The Northrop T-38A Talon, a twin-engine, supersonic trainer jet, was introduced to the USAF in 1961 and served as the primary trainer for both the Air Force and NASA pilot training programs until the late 1990s. The Thunderbirds team, established in 1953, is the USAF's official demonstration squadron, performing aerial displays at air shows and military functions to showcase the capabilities and pride of the US military.
