Lady May Cambridge(1906 - 1994), Daughter of the Earl and Countess of Athlone (Alexander of Teck and Princess Alice), on the occasion of her marriage to Sir Henry Abel Smith(1900-1993). Born Princess May of Teck, May was a niece of King George V and Queen Mary, and a great-granddaughter of Queen Victoria. Unusually for a royal wedding, they married in a village church, St Marys Balcombe in West Sussex. Princess Elizabeth of York, later Queen Elizabeth II, was one of the bridesmaids, aged just 5 years old. Date: 24th October 1931
