Celebrating the royal wedding of Princess Victoria Melita of Edinburgh and Prince Ernst Ludwig, Grand Duke of Hesse, in Coburg on the 19th April 1894. The top image shows the princess returning from a drive, and the bottom shows the meeting of the bride and bridegroom. Princess Victoria Melita was daughter of Alfred, Duke of Edinburgh and a granddaughter of Queen Victoria as well as of Tsar Nicholas II of Russia. Her marriage to her paternal first cousin Ernst Ludwig, ended in divorce in 1901. Date: 1894
