Road films with Bob Hope top box office successes. 1944- Hollywood number one star, won Academy Award, recorded " Swinging on a Star", sold one million copies. 1954- " White Christmas". After 1956 left Parmount. Television- not very succesful. Radio and recording - very succesful - recorded more than 2, 600 different songs, sold 400 million records (by 1975) and " White Christmas" sold 30 million alone. He represented the amateur who seems to stumble towards success.

Collaborating with Bob Hope in their iconic road films proved to be top box office successes that further solidified his status as Hollywood's number one star. Not only did Bing conquer the silver screen, but he also showcased his immense talent through music. In 1944, he won an Academy Award and recorded the timeless hit "Swinging on a Star" which sold over one million copies.
