Coventry locksmith. Mr. Dennis Jones, was called out on a very special assignment to this 70ft. model of a nuclear submarine in the Precinct. The Navy staff on duty could not lock it up when they stopped work for the day. Earlier the lock had been broken by vandals. " I never thought I would be asked to fix: the lock on a sub, " said Mr. Jones, of Three Spires Avenue, Coventry. The submarine has been used as part of a three-week recruiting drive in Coventry, ending in a weeks time. It is based on the design of one of the Navys latest nuclear powered sub-marines that can go round the world without surfacing. So far there have been around two dozen enquiries to join the Royal Navy and the Royal Marines.
