Charlie Jones, Welsh international, and Charlie Preedy (right) and Arsenal Footballers - 1930. *THE family heirlooms from the careers of Wales and Cardiff City footballers Charlie Jones and Derrick Sullivan fetched more than £ 58, 000 at auction yesterday n almost double their pre-sale estimate of around £ 32, 000. Midfielder Jones won three First Division titles with Arsenal in the 1930s, while Sullivan outshone the legendary John Charles when Wales made the 1958 World Cup quarter-finals. Football Association of Wales (FAW) historian Ceri Stennett said: iThe Charlie Jones collection went for very, very big money, as I suspected it might because of the Arsenal connection. A Welsh Cup winner and two runner-up trophies [from Sullivanis career] were estimated at £ 80 to £ 100 and the hammer price was £ 1, 300.i
