The Italian driver, who was born on September 14, 1973, in Roma, Italy, had just clinched his first and only Formula One victory in a career that spanned over a decade. Fisichella began his racing career in karting in 1987 and quickly rose through the ranks, making his Formula One debut with the Benetton team in 1996. He would go on to race for several other teams, including Jordan, Sauber, and Force India, before finding success with Renault.
