Aircraft maintenance hangar. Scaffolding around a jet aircraft during routine maintenance. The aircraft is an Ilyushin Il-80 (also known as the Il-86VKP), NATO reporting name Maxdome. It is a converted Ilyushin Il-86 Camber airliner, equipped as an airborne command post for the Russian President and staff during war. Notable differences to the airliner include the large satellite communications dome on top of the fuselage, the lack of passenger windows and the extra electrical generator pods under the wings.
