In this iconic photograph, taken at The Millennum Stadium in Cardiff on August 7,2005, we see two footballing greats locked in a fierce battle during the FA Community Shield match between Arsenal and Chelsea. On the left side of the image, Arsenal's Alexander Hleb (#17) is seen in mid-stride, his focused expression and determined gaze fixed on the ball, as he attempts to dribble past Chelsea's Asier Del Horno (#21) on the right. Del Horno, a formidable opponent, is shown in a defensive stance, his arms outstretched, ready to make a tackle and snuff out Arsenal's attack. Both players were key figures in their respective teams during this era of English football. Hleb, a Belarusian international, had joined Arsenal the previous year from Borussia Dortmund and quickly became a fan favorite with his creative midfield play and silky ball control. Del Horno, a Spanish international full-back, had been a consistent performer for Chelsea since joining from Osasuna in 2002. The FA Community Shield, which pits the winners of the previous season's Premier League and FA Cup against each other, is considered the unofficial start of the new football season in England. In this particular match, Chelsea emerged victorious with a 1-2 scoreline, thanks to goals from Eidur Gudjohnsen and Frank Lampard. Despite the defeat, Arsenal fans would have been impressed by Hleb's performance, as he was one of the few bright spots in an otherwise disappointing afternoon for the Gunners.
