A buoy or barrel is floating in the right foreground and beyond it in the distance is a fishing boat with two men, probably attending to their nets. In the right background a ship is shown at anchor, flying a flag at the main. There are other vessels in the far distance on the right and left and land is just visible in the far right distance.
