The Bismarck at the main outfitting wharf, Blohm and Voss, Hamburg, where she was tied up until 15 September 1940. The ship returned here after initial trials on 9 December 1940 to be completed and had to remain until 6 March 1941 while the Kiel Canal was cleared of ice and a shipwreck. Date: 9th December 1940
