The Cingalee by James T. Tanner (17 October 1858 18 June 1915), with music by Lionel Monckton (18 December 1861 15 February 1924), lyrics by Adrian Ross (1859 1933) and Percy Greenbank (1878 - 1968) and additional material by Paul Rubens. First produced at the Dalys Theatre in London on 5th March 1904, it ran for a total of 365 performances. The eponymous heroine depicted is, of course, from Ceylon (now Sri Lanka). The artist is Albert Morrow (26 April 1863 - 26 October 1927). George Dances Company touring to the Theatre Royal in Bath on 6th March 1905. Date: 1904
