Hunting in Epping Forest, Essex - Turning out the stag at Buckits Hill. A lively scene by the artist J. Pollard showing a numbers of riders and carriages assembled at the famous Easter Monday hunt, with the deer being released ready for the chase. Buckits Hill is the present day Buckhurst Hill, on the eastern outskirts of London. Once delightfully rural, it is now on the Central Line. Date: 1928
