Major Mitchell's cockatoo, named after the explorer Sir Thomas Mitchell, is a large, white cockatoo with a pink crest and a yellow beak. The superb parrot, on the other hand, is characterized by its green and red plumage, with a distinctive blue face and yellow beak.
