This evocative photograph captures the determined young face of Albert Auerbach, a member of the 1st City of London Regiment, Royal Fusiliers, during the summer of 1915. Albert Auerbach was born in 1894 and, at the age of 21, was commissioned into the Royal Fusiliers on 20th July 1915.
