Poster produced by London & North Eastern Railway (LNER) to promote rail services to Whitley Bay, Tyne and Wear. The poster shows a woman in a large sunhat sitting on the ledge of the promenade, smiling up at a man standing behind her. Artwork by Frank Newbould (1887-1951), who studied at Bradford College of Art and joined the War Office in 1942. He also designed posters for the GWR (Great Western Railway), Orient Line and Belgian Railways. Dimensions: 1016 mm x 1270 mm
