16th October 2022, Silverstone, Northamptonshire, England: In the heart of the historic motor racing scene, the HSCC (Historic Sports Car Club) Silverstone Finals played host to the HSCC Historic Touring Car Championship with Ecurie Classic. This thrilling 20-minute race brought together a diverse grid of iconic racing cars, spanning several classifications and engine capacities. Among the grid was Eric Walker's Ford Anglia (CJ12 2932), a classic tin top contender that showcased its prowess on the Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit. The race, which combined several classes, featured a wide range of vehicles, from pre-war machines with engines under 1150cc to powerful multi-litre V8s from the late 1960s. GT cars, production sports cars, and tin tops all took to the track, creating an electrifying atmosphere filled with the roar of engines and the scent of Dunlop tyres. The FIA Appendix K regulations allowed for a nostalgic blend of old racing cars, each with their unique character and charm. Eric Walker and his Ford Anglia stood out in the sea of classic racing machines.
