This evocative daguerreotype captures the British Infantry of the Line encamped at Scutari during the Crimean War, as depicted in the Illustrated London News in 1854. The image, taken by Mr. James Robertson of Constantinople, offers a glimpse into the living conditions of the soldiers far from home.
