Yoshiyuki Tsuruta and Erich Rademacher, 1928. Japanese swimmer Yoshiyuki Tsuruta (1903-1986) shakes hands with his German rival Erich Rademacher (1901-1979). Tsuruta won gold medal in the mens 200m breaststroke, and Rademacher won silver in the same event at the 1928 Summer Olympics, held in Amsterdam.
