This postcard commemorates the historic coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother, along with their young daughter, Princess Elizabeth (later Queen Elizabeth II), on February 12, 1937. The image showcases the regal trio in their formal attire, with King George VI proudly wearing his coronation robes, adorned with the Imperial State Crown and various orders and medals. King George VI, born Prince Albert, Duke of York, ascended to the throne following the abdication of his brother, King Edward VIII.
