In this delightfully humorous comic postcard from the 20th century, we find ourselves peering into the quirky world of a British couple's holiday accommodation. The scene unfolds as the couple, a man and a woman, enter their rented hotel room, each carrying a suitcase and beaming with excitement. The man, with a pipe in hand and a mischievous grin, looks at his wife, who is carrying a parasol and wearing a wide-brimmed hat. As they step inside, their expressions quickly change from anticipation to shock and disappointment. The small, cramped room reveals a rather unusual bathroom setup. Instead of a modern, spacious bathroom, the couple are met with a tiny washbasin perched precariously on a wooden stool, a rusty washbasin tap, and a cold, drafty room.
