This exquisite 15th century painting, titled "The Virgin and Child with SS. Mary Magdalene, John the Evangelist, Joseph, an Unidentified Saint, and the Donor," is a masterpiece by the renowned Italian artist Pasqualino Veneto, also known as Niccolò di Margherita da Venezia. Recorded in Venice between 1496 and 1504, this artwork is now proudly displayed at the National Gallery in Prague, Czech Republic. The painting depicts the Virgin Mary holding the infant Jesus, who gazes up at his mother with an expression of deep affection. Mary Magdalene, identified by her long flowing hair and the jar of perfume she holds, stands to the left of the Virgin, while St. John the Evangelist, recognizable by the eagle symbol of the Evangelist, is to her right.
