Born in approximately 1041 or 1042, Raymond rose to prominence as Count of Toulouse, Duke of Narbonne, and Margrave of Provence. His leadership extended beyond his territorial holdings, as he became a key figure in the First Crusade. Raymond is depicted here in regal attire, wearing a crown and holding a sword with a pointed tip, symbolizing both his noble status and his role as a warrior.
